A man who was left in critical condition after an accident that occurred in Hulhumale' on Monday night when a car collided with three motorcycles has passed away.
The four people who were injured - two men and two women - were on two of the three motorcycles involved in the accident.
They were taken to the Hulhumale' hospital for treatment, after which a husband and wife who had been on one of the motorcycles were transferred to the ADK hospital for further treatment as their condition was serious.
The man passed away on Monday night, the ADK hospital said today. The woman's condition was improving but she remains at the intensive care unit, according to the hospital.
The accident occurred when the car veered out of control and crashed into the motorcycles, the police said.
The 30-year-old man who was driving the car was arrested last week and the court remanded him in custody for seven days, according to the police.
