Kazakhstani tourist dies while diving near Fuvahmulah

A tourist died today while diving near Fuvahmulah City.

According to the police, the tourist was found unresponsive underwater and was immediately transported to Fuvahmulah Hospital. Medical professionals confirmed that the individual was already deceased upon arrival at the hospital.

The police stated that the deceased was a national of Kazakhstan and confirmed that an investigation into the death is currently underway.

Fatalities involving tourists occur periodically during maritime and water-based activities in the Maldives. Relevant authorities continue to conduct safety awareness programs and implement measures aimed at reducing such tragic incidents.
