A 27-year-old Bangladeshi national has been found dead in the industrial zone of Gaaf Dhaal Thinadhoo.
Police stated that the individual was already deceased when brought to Dr. Abdul Samad Memorial Hospital.
Authorities confirmed that an investigation into the death is currently underway.
According to Bangladeshi news outlets citing the country's High Commission in the Maldives, eight Bangladeshi nationals died in various incidents between July 25 and August 3.
Transparency Maldives noted that these fatalities included workplace accidents, serious health complications, and suicides. The majority of those who passed away during that 10-day period were aged between 21 and 45.
