The Maldives Islamic Bank (MIB) has recorded major financial growth during the second quarter of this year.
According to MIB’s financial statistics, the bank's total assets rose to MVR 19.31 billion by the end of the second quarter, marking a 4.37 percent increase compared to the first quarter. This represents a growth of 43.52 percent compared to the same period last year.
The bank reported an operating profit of MVR 170 million, which MIB noted is a 4.29 percent increase over the previous quarter. Additionally, the bank's net profit reached MVR 111.42 million, reflecting a growth of 15.66 percent.
In terms of customer deposits, the total amount grew by 5.37 percent during this period, reaching MVR 16.22 billion. This constitutes a year-on-year increase of 43.24 percent.
MIB generated MVR 284.60 million in revenue, an increase of 5.85 percent over the first quarter and a 32.07 percent rise compared to the second quarter of the previous year.
The bank's revenue for the second quarter stood at MVR 284.60 million, representing a 5.85 percent growth from the preceding quarter and a 32.07 percent increase compared to the second quarter of 2025.
MIB highlighted that the financial results for the second quarter demonstrate the growing trust and confidence customers place in the bank.
