Sonee Hardware, in partnership with regional cement giant SCG, officially launched SCG Cement into the Maldivian market during a grand ceremony held at the Barceló Nasandhura on the night of July 16, 2026.
The launch event brought together key stakeholders from across the Maldivian construction sector, including prominent clients, commercial partners, industry professionals, Sonee Hardware management, and a special delegation from SCG International.
Delivering the opening address, Sonee Hardware Managing Director Moosa Kaleem marked the partnership as a major milestone for the company and a step forward for local builders.
He noted that incorporating SCG Cement into their portfolio aims to deliver greater convenience, quality, and peace of mind to construction projects nationwide.
Following the opening remarks, SCG Senior Marketing Executive Mr. Jay presented the new cement line, outlining its core performance benefits, technical capabilities, and suitability for modern building standards.
