Sea Gear has introduced "Skipper’s," a renowned Italian luxury yacht paint and marine coating brand, to the Maldivian market.

The product line is specially launched for vessel owners, maritime service providers, resorts, boatyards, workshops, and technical professionals within the sector.

Skipper’s is a specialized brand of the Italian company "Aemme Colori," which has been a prominent player in the paint and coatings industry since 1947.

Skipper’s provides a comprehensive range of coating solutions required for yachts and marine vessels, including:

  • Varnishes, epoxy primers, and undercoats
  • Finishing paints, fillers, and fairing compounds
  • Thinners, additives, and specialized products for teak wood

Designed for use on vessels constructed from fiberglass, steel, aluminum, and wood, these products are ideally suited for the diverse fleet operating in the Maldives. Given the country’s high temperatures and high-salinity environment, the durability offered by Skipper’s is particularly essential.

Sea Gear highlighted that the brand’s "Acriglass" two-component polyurethane system is a professional choice for maintaining a vessel’s exterior aesthetic and smoothness, preventing color fading, and protecting against chemical damage. Furthermore, their antifouling and specialized underwater coatings help reduce biofouling, thereby enhancing vessel speed and reducing maintenance costs.

According to Sea Gear, the introduction of the Skipper’s brand is a testament to the company’s commitment to providing high-quality marine products tailored to the Maldivian maritime environment. The company aims to provide the local maritime industry with reliable coating solutions that ensure safety and superior results.
