India has donated 20,000 doses of the measles vaccine and three tons of medical supplies to the Maldives.
The aid package includes Measles and Rubella (MR) vaccines, laboratory consumables, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and other essential medical supplies required for the healthcare sector.
The Maldivian government highlighted that these supplies represent a significant boost to ongoing efforts to control the measles outbreak and strengthen public health safety in the country.
Underscoring the long-standing close ties between the Maldives and India, Health Minister Geela Ali stated that India’s assistance plays a vital role in strengthening the Maldivian healthcare system and ensuring public health security. She further noted that such support exemplifies the robust relationship between the two nations.
