It has been revealed that equipment belonging to Official Events, a company owned by Baarashu MP Ibrahim Shujau, is stored in two buildings managed by Public Service Media (PSM).

Adhadhu has obtained photographs showing the company's equipment stored at the Television Maldives (TVM) and Dhivehi Raajjeyge Adu premises. Adhadhu has verified that the items belong to Shujau’s company.

A PSM employee, speaking on condition of anonymity, said the private company’s equipment have been stored at PSM for nearly a year. The source further noted that additional items belonging to Shujau were brought into a PSM building five months ago.

The items stored at the PSM facilities include lighting equipment, tables, chairs, and various other materials used for event management.

Ahmed Adhuham, a shareholder in Shujau’s company, currently serves as a member of the PSM Board. When contacted by Adhadhu, both Shujau and Adhuham denied that any equipment belonging to Official Events was being stored at PSM.

When questioned about the matter, PSM Managing Director Ahmed Shakeeb stated that he was unaware of any private company’s equipment being kept on PSM property.
