With less than eight hours to go before the referendum and local council elections, The Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) announced 48 job vacancies with a deadline of 11 hours.
MTCC said in separate announcements after 11:45 pm that candidates should submit their applications through the company's job application portal before 11:00 am today.
Interviews will be held between April 5 and April 30 for the shortlisted candidates. The pay is between MVR 10,000 and MVR 15,400 based on experience and educational qualifications.
MTCC job vacancies:
- Construction and Dredging Division - 44 employees
- Transport Service Division (Noonu Holhudhoo) - One employee
- Procurement Division - One employee
- Corporate Bureau and Administration Division - One employee
The government has offered hundreds of jobs from ministries and state companies ahead of the local council elections and referendum to merge the presidential and parliamentary elections.
The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has not commented, but the Elections Commission (EC) said three cases have been referred to the ACC.
