An agreement has been signed today to construct a new 13-storey building under the fourth phase of the ADK Hospital development.
The ADK Hospital said this is an important step in the long-term development project to expand the services of the hospital.
ADK Chairman and CEO Ahmed Nashid and Rotime Engineering and Technology Chairman Zhou Weidong signed the agreement.
Rotime Engineering and Technology has extensive experience in building health infrastructure in various countries around the world.
ADK Director of Strategy and Innovation Adil Shareef said the project is an initiative to increase the capacity of the hospital to keep pace with the demand for services.
The new building will be a model for sustainable structural development in the health sector in the Maldives, he said.
Gedor Consulting and Epoch Associates provided technical assistance during the planning and evaluation phase of the project.
The ADK Hospital acknowledged the support from the First National Finance Corporation and the relevant government ministries.
Rotime Chairman Zhou Weidong said this is the company's first major healthcare project in Male' and thanked ADK Hospital for trusting his company.
