President Muizzu meets Pakistani military chiefs

The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee of Pakistan, General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, has met with President Mohamed Muizzu.

The meeting took place at the President's Office on Thursday.

They discussed strengthening the bilateral relationship between the two nations and exploring new avenues for cooperation.

They also emphasised the importance of continued collaboration and reaffirmed their shared commitment to enhancing the partnership between the two countries.

Mirza arrived in the Maldives on Wednesday. He earlier met with Defence Minister Ghassan Maumoon.

Pakistan's navy vessel PNS Aslat visited the Maldives earlier this year to strengthen military ties between the two countries.
