The Maldives Islamic Bank (MIB) Guesthouse Symposium has concluded after announcing the Guesthouse Awards for 2026.

The new awards ceremony was announced, and its arrangement was handed over to the independent audit firm Crowe Maldives.

MIB Chief Retail Officer Hussain Alim Shakoor told Adhadhu that the MIB Guesthouse Awards will be given in conjunction with the Guesthouse Symposium in 2026.

He added that Crowe Maldives would handle everything related to the awards, from the structure of the awards to the appointment of the judges.

Crowe's Managing Partner Hassan Mohamed said the guesthouse award will be unique because it will not include any sponsors.

Hassan said the audit firm would ensure that the guesthouse awards go to the most deserving parties.

This year's MIB Guesthouse Symposium concluded with a draw among the participants. Three participants received iPhone 17s and prizes from Dhiraagu and Maldivian.

Four panel discussions were held during the symposium with 150 participants in Crossroads Maldives.
