The National Counter Terrorism Center (NCTC) and the US Embassy have jointly conducted a workshop on preventing misinformation.
The workshop was inaugurated by US Ambassador Hugo Yon.
In a post on X, the NCTC said relevant experts shared their experiences and information on preventing misinformation and disinformation.
Members from various government agencies, including the Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF), prisons, police, customs and Defense Ministry, attended the workshop.
The NCTC and the US Embassy have previously conducted similar workshops. The workshops are usually attended by security forces and border guards.
