Aamin on fire with consecutive victories in stellar career run

Male' Maldives: National bodyboarder Aamin Umar Moosa has clinched victory in both bodyboarding competitions held this year, riding a wave of exceptional form in his career.

Aamin Umar Moosa has made tremendous achievement in Maldivian bodyboarding history, winning the open category in both national league competitions so far this year, the Burunu Shikaaru Bodyboarding Challenge and the Labera Bodyboarding Challenge.

In both finals, Aamin overcame none other than the “King of Maldives Bodyboarding,” Ali Kushuruwan (Kuda Ayya), marking the first time a rider has ever beaten the legend in consecutive national finals.

“Both finals went exactly how I wanted,” Aamin said after his Labera victory.

“I always say, if you want to win a competition, you need to beat Ayya in the final. Both final heats were exceptional. I hope next time we meet again in the final for another showdown.”

In the Labera final, Aamin secured the win with a score of 13.17 points, while Kuda Ayya finished with 8.60 points.

With back-to-back victories, Aamin is now the frontrunner for the season title and is already preparing for the National Competition to continue his remarkable run.

In the Junior Category of the Labera Challenge, Mohamed Azan Ahmed claimed the title for the second time, defeating Eyan Ahmed in the final.

The Drop Knee division once again belonged to the maestro himself, Kuda Ayya.

Following the competition, Kuda Ayya praised the rising generation of bodyboarders, noting their rapid improvement and the increasingly competitive heats, a promising sign of bodyboarding’s growth in the Maldives.
