A delegation of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation, including several senior political leaders and heads of civil society organizations from Europe and South Asia, is visiting the Maldives.
The two-day trip was organized by the foundation's South Asia office. The delegation will also visit Bangladesh, Bhutan and India.
The delegation consists mostly of Germans. They include the Bundestag's Defense Committee Chairperson Dr. Marcus Faber and MP Sandra Weeser.
They met Deputy Speaker Ahmed Nazim and observed the People's Majlis session on Tuesday.
The delegation will also meet the opposition Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) Chairperson Fayyaz Ismail and Male' Mayor Adam Azim.
