Two of Us music band has been selected as the local ambassador of Visit Maldives.
Those interested in the local ambassadorship were invited to submit proposals to Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) on Thursday. The announcement was published in the government gazette on Sunday.
Adhadhu understands that the Two of Us, which won third place in India's Battle of the Bands competition, was arranged as the local ambassador before making an announcement for proposals.
The Visit Maldives Local Ambassadorship Program is aimed at involving local creative artists and providing them with the opportunity to share their content with the world.
“The program was introduced to increase the Maldives' popularity as a culturally and artistically rich destination around the world,” the MMPRC said.
MMPRC said artists participating in the Visit Maldives Local Ambassadorship Program will have the opportunity to promote Maldives' tourism as an ambassador and increase their visibility on international platforms.
