A Maldivian student in the Philippines has been seriously injured after hitting the propeller of a training plane.

Another student in the Philippines told Adhadhu that the incident occurred when Maniu got off the Cessna-125 without turning off the plane.
"He fainted and fell while walking off the plane. He hit the propeller while falling. He was nauseous so he got off the plane quickly. The propeller was still on and the instructor was inside the plane," the student said.

Maniu sustained the biggest injury to his face, but is able to speak.
"He's being treated in the hospital. He has a serious injury to his face, but he can talk," the student said.
Maniu has been studying in the Philippines for a year and three months.
