Construction and Infrastructure Minister Abdulla Muththalib has deleted a post in support of the militant groups' capture of the Syrian capital Damascus, bringing an end to the long regime of President Bashar al-Assad.
The minister's post on X at 10:12 am today has now been deleted. He did not respond to phone calls when contacted by Adhadhu to find out the reason for deleting the post.

According to international media reports, Assad has fled Syria after ruling the country for 24 years.
Thousands of Syrian soldiers in Damascus have also reportedly fled and militants have now occupied Assad's palace.
Adhadhu earlier reported about the involvement of Maldivian nationals with the armed rebel forces in Syria to capture the country's second-largest city Aleppo.
Videos and photos that have been released show Maldivians were heavily involved in the attack on Aleppo.
Syria's civil war has been stalled since 2020, but the sudden attacks by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham and aligned groups have rocked the country again.
