Crown & Champa Resorts has appointed Mohamed Solah as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Solah, who has served in the tourism industry for many years, was appointed Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Crown & Champa Resorts in September 2022. He has now been named the company's new CEO two years later.
Before that, he was the Cluster General Manager of Zaya Hospitality Group in Dubai.
He was previously the General Manager of Komandoo Island Resort operated by the Crown & Champa Group. At the time, he was one of the youngest people to take over as general manager of a resort in the Maldives.
Solah joined the tourism industry in 2002 and his first job was as a receptionist/telephone operator at Meeru Island Resort. He completed his bachelor's degree in hospitality while working at the resort.
During his higher education, he gained work experience in Malaysia and Seychelles. After graduation, he rejoined Meeru Island Resort as Front Office Manager and Guest Services Manager.
