Addu City Council has launched the 'Beyond the Equator' brand to develop tourism in the atoll.
The brand was designed by Encrea Studio. It was unveiled at a ceremony in Canareef. A website was also launched for Addu tourism.
In addition, a video showing the natural beauty of Addu was also featured at the ceremony.
Mayor Ali Nizar said that Addu needs cooperation to promote it as a tourist destination.
Abdulla Shafeeu, Art Director of Encrea Studio, said the brand logo was designed to pave the way for it to be used as an iconic mark in the future.
He also said the brand was designed to showcase the natural beauty of Addu in a way that people would recognize the symbol as signifying Addu.
Tourism Minister Ibrahim Faisal, government officials, MPs and members of the Addu City Council attended the ceremony.
