The Tourism Symposium 2024 organized by the Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) and the Ministry of Tourism has begun today.

More than 150 people from various fields of the tourism industry are participating in the symposium at Crossroads.

Participants include resorts, guesthouses, liveaboards, local tourism operators, travel agents, tourism associations and travel media.

MMPRC said the aim of the symposium is to discuss ways to further promote tourism in the Maldives and to identify new ideas and insights.

A panel discussion and group discussions will also be held during the symposium with dialogues on the introduction of new segments in tourism.

Tourism Minister Ibrahim Faisal, MMPRC Managing Director Shiuree Ibrahim and MMPRC Chairman Abdullah Ghiyas attended the opening of the symposium.
