Ooredoo Nation Global Faceoff: Maldives and Qatar in the Rocket League

The Rocket League, the first-ever Ooredoo Nation Global Faceoff between Maldives and Qatar, is scheduled to kick off today.

Ooredoo said the tournament will feature strong matches between three-player teams, individual skills, strategy and teamwork.

"This event is Ooredoo Nation’s first international competition. And it aims to grow an esports community and provide a platform for gamers to compete on the global stage," Ooredoo said.

The tournament being held on the occasion of the 19th anniversary of Ooredoo Maldives will be streamed live on the Ooredoo Nation YouTube channel. The champion team will win USD 1,919.

Ooredoo Maldives CEO Khalid Al Hamadi said the company is proud to host the first international esports tournament, the Ooredoo Nation Global Faceoff between Maldives and Qatar.

"This is part of our efforts to promote the gaming community. We hope to showcase the spirit of friendship and competition between Maldives and Qatar and see a wonderful gameplay," Khalid said.

Ooredoo added that this competition is also a testament to the company's efforts to promote digital innovation and connectivity.
