Three ministers departed on an official visit to China today.

Foreign Minister Moosa Zameer, Finance Minister Dr. Mohamed Shafeeq and Construction Minister Dr. Abdul Muththlib travelled to China for a four-day visit.

The visit was undertaken on an official invitation from Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, the Maldives Foreign Ministry said.

During the visit, Foreign Minister Zameer will hold official talks with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and senior Chinese government officials.

"In addition, Minister Zameer will hold discussions with key Chinese companies that have played a pivotal role in the economic development of the Maldives," the Foreign Ministry said.
