Deputy Minister of Sports, Fitness and Recreation Hussain Shifaz has been suspended.
The President's Office instructed Shifaz not to report to work, senior government officials confirmed to Adhadhu.
When contacted by Adhadhu, Shifaz did not deny the suspension.
But the President's Office has not revealed the reason for his suspension.
Shifaz's suspension comes with Deputy Youth Ministers Malsa Shareef, Mariyam Shiuna and Mahzoom Majid still under suspension over the mockery of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on social media.
The three deputy ministers were suspended indefinitely in early January for an inquiry into the incident, President's Office Communication Minister Ibrahim Khaleel said at the time. The three officials remain suspended with pay.
