The Housing Development Corporation (HDC) on Thursday put up 13 beachfront plots for sale from Hulhumale' Phase Two.
HDC invited expressions of interest in the first of two phases for the land sales. An auction will be held in the second phase to accept bids if there is more than one interested buyer for each plot.
The size of the 13 plots ranges from 1,864 square feet to 2,408 square feet, HDC said. The auction will start at MVR 4,000 per square foot, HDC said.
Applications can be submitted through HDC's bid portal and only 100 percent Maldivian-owned businesses will be eligible, HDC said.
The land sales come after previous announcements for the sale of 15 plots in April 2023 and 60 plots in December 2021.
