Three Kulhudhuffushi Fenaka branch employees suspended over alleged non-cooperation

Three employees of the Haa Dhaal Kulhudhuffushi Fenaka branch have been suspended over alleged non-cooperation with powerhouse work.

Abdul Hamees, the official in charge of the Fenaka branch, was suspended along with two other employees, Adhadhu has learned.

Fenaka Managing Director Muaz Mohamed Rasheed told Adhadhu that the employees were suspended for 14 days pending an inquiry into their cases.

The cases involved refusal to cooperate with the powerhouse's work as well as other issues, Muaz said, adding that action will be taken if necessary based on the findings of the inquiry.

"They were suspended over non-cooperation and lots of other problems that had been noted. The problems cannot be revealed yet as the inquiry is ongoing," Muaz said.

Management of the Kulhudhuffushi branch has been handed over to Mamdhooh Ali, who took charge yesterday.

Kulhudhuffushi has faced power cuts for more than a month due to overloading after a generator malfunctioned. Electricity is being cut off daily from different areas under a published schedule.

Fenaka has been working towards resolving the problem after bringing in a new generator.
