Russia, Germany and the United Kingdom (UK) were the top source markets for tourist arrivals in March, statistics released by Immigration today have shown.
According to the March arrivals report published by Immigration, 194,222 tourists visited the Maldives last month. This was an increase of 20,708 tourists compared to the same period last year.

The number of tourists who visited the Maldives during the first three months of the year (the first financial quarter) reached a record 600,000, the highest tourist arrivals recorded during a single quarter in the country's history.
Despite Russia in first place as the top market last month, China remains the number one market for the year. Along with Russia, other markets in the top five for 2024 include UK, Italy and Germany.
