"Ooredoo Nation Gamers' Land 2024" inaugurated

Ooredoo Maldives launched "Ooredoo Nation Gamers' Land 2024" on Monday night.

Ooredoo MD and CEO Khalid Al-Hamadi and Youth Minister Ibrahim Waheed inaugurated the "Ooredoo Nation Gamers' Land 2024" during a ceremony held at Ooredoo headquarters in Hulhumale'.

The "Ooredoo Nation Gamers' Land 2024", which is set to begin next October, is open to the emerging gaming community and all gamers in the Maldives.

The total pool prize for the EAFC 24, Mobile Legends and PUBG tournaments throughout the year is MVR 700,000, Ooredoo said.

This year's "Ooredoo Nation Gamers' Land 2024" includes inter-school, inter-university/college, inter-office and inter-resort competitions.

Speaking at the ceremony, Youth Minister Ibrahim Waheed said Ooredoo has revolutionized the telecommunications service in Maldives and is also providing income-generating opportunities in such competitions for the youth.

“Youth and all gamers will be sure that the tournaments planned by Ooredoo are of good quality,” he said.

Ooredoo's Khalid Al-Hamadi said the tournament is open to all those interested in gaming in the Maldives.

Meanwhile, Ooredoo Chief Commercial Officer Hussain Niyaz said that Ooredoo is working to solve the internet speed issues faced by gamers.

This year's tournament is open to all gamers to compete for the Ultimate Player trophy which is an award for the best gamer.
