Indian hackers have taken down the Juvenile Court website and issued a warning to Maldivians.

The website was hacked by many groups working together, according to a long message written by the hackers on the Juvenile Court website. The hackers include a group from Kerala, the Indian state most frequently visited by Maldivians.

The message written by the hackers on the Juvenile Court website stated that the site was hacked in response to remarks by some Maldivian ministers (deputy ministers).

The message expressed strong displeasure over the "disrespect" and forgetting of aid from India to the Maldives.

In a message to Maldivians, the hackers said they have the capacity to severely damage the country's cyberspace.

A religious slogan used by hardline Hindus when attacking Muslims in the country was also written in concluding the message.

A campaign against the Maldives by Indian social media activists and Bollywood stars was launched in response to replies from three Maldivian deputy youth ministers to a post on X by an Indian on January 4 with a video of Modi's visit to the Indian archipelagic atoll of Lakshadweep.
