Jennifer sacked from Island Aviation after 25 years of service

The Deputy Director of Island Aviation Services (IAS), which operates the national airline Maldivian, has been sacked.

Aishath Jennifer confirmed to Adhadhu that she had been sacked from her position and fired from the company after 25 years of service.

Jennifer said she was dismissed without giving any reason and that she was dismissed under the authority given to the company's board.

She was appointed to the post of Deputy Managing Director on December 27, 2018, during the government of former President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.

Jennifer was previously Deputy Head of the Cargo Department at Maldivian. She was fired in 2016 while but the Employment Tribunal ordered her to be reinstated.
