Beond, the world's first premium leisure airline, has launched flights from Maldives to Riyadh, Munich and Zurich.

Beond's first flight to the three destinations yesterday offered passengers the opportunity to experience a private and luxurious flight.

“The inaugural flights from Riyadh, Munich, and Zurich exemplify the airline’s commitment to providing the highest quality of premium luxury travel," CEO and Chairman Tero Taskila said.

The flights from the three destinations will be operated twice a week.

Beond plans to launch flights to six more destinations next year. These include Milan, Bangkok, Dubai, Beijing and Shanghai. Flights to Dubai and Milan are scheduled to start in the spring.

Beond's flights will be operated by Airbus A319, A320 and A321 aircraft. The seats will be reduced to provide the highest level of service to passengers.

The aircrafts will have 44-68 seats in all business class. The seats used on the plane are high quality and designed by Optimas, Italy, which supplied the seats for the Four Seasons A321 private jets.

Beond Airlines is the world's first leisure airline to provide the highest quality air travel services to the luxury tourism market.

The airline was formed by Maldives Simdi Group and UAE's Arabesque.
