Maldivian launches flights to Bangalore

National carrier Maldivian commenced scheduled flights to Bangalore, India on Monday.

The twice-weekly flights from Velana International Airport to Bangalore are scheduled for Monday and Wednesday. Return ticket prices start at USD 231.

Flight bookings and further information about the Bangalore route are now available from Maldivian's website.

Maldivian previously said that flights to Bangalore were scheduled to offer convenience to passengers who travel both for vacation and business purposes.

As part of the airline's efforts to connect the Maldives to important international destinations, Maldivian said the start of flights to Bangalore would strengthen economic and cultural ties between the countries and expand options for passengers to choose their preferred destinations.

Maldivian also operates flights to Trivandrum and Cochin in India and Dhaka in Bangladesh.
