State Electric Company (Stelco) has donated MVR 500,000 to Palestinians affected by the ongoing Israeli attacks.
The donation under Stelco's corporate social responsibility was handed over to the International Aid Campaign's "Solidarity with Palestine" fund.
Stelco's Managing Director Ahmed Shareef handed over the cheque to International Aid Campaign's Chairman Ahmed Iqbal at a ceremony held Monday.
Israeli attacks have intensified, killing 436 Palestinians in the past 24 hours alone. The total number of Palestinian martyrs has risen to 5,087.
The public, companies and civil organizations in Maldives have been holding fundraising events to help Palestine.
Stelco has also set up a fund box at its office to support the International Aid Campaign's fundraising activities to help the Palestinian people.
