The government has denied allegations by President-elect Dr. Mohamed Muizzu's office about the falsification of documents at state agencies and institutions.

At a press briefing held today by the President-elect's Office, Spokesman Mohamed Firuzul said the office was repeatedly receiving information about changes being made to documents and appealed against it.

The office was also receiving information about the creation of new jobs and the hiring of new staff, he said.

"We are getting information somewhat that some changes are being made to state records, company and institution records, creating receipts under old dates and such things," Firuzul said.

President's Office Spokesman Miuvan Mohamed denied Firuzul's claims and told Adhadhu that the government is following rules and regulations.

"The government is acting in line with rules and regulations. Nothing of the sort that they're alleging is happening," Miuvan said.

The government is cooperating with the transition, he added.
