"Our policy is to vacate the streets and designate separate areas for parking. There will be no opportunity to campaign after selling the streets," he said.
He promised to cancel the parking slots and make the streets of Male' fit for pedestrians.
"We will not exclude anyone in the future. We will not exclude a single island. We will not discriminate. Through many difficulties, we are trying to find a happy and peaceful country."
He lashed out at his rivals, saying those who ride at high speed in launches and go to places in cars will not know the plight of the people.
"People who have never experienced the lack of electricity cannot understand the plight of the people. We know that best. That is why we are improving the electricity service in the islands," Solih said.
