An agreement has been signed to develop a special private beach for tourists in Hulhumale'.
The agreement was signed on behalf of Urbanco by Managing Director Ahmed Athif and Permanent Secretary Fathmath Nilfa on behalf of the Tourism Ministry.
The area next to the water theme park under development in Hulhumale' has been designated for the private beach, according to Urbanco.
It is to be developed with a lifeguard hut, toilets, shower and kiosks, Urbanco said, noting that the private beach would boost guesthouse businesses in Hulhumale'.
Urbanco has commenced work on developing the private tourist beach.
The company assured cooperation for the government's efforts to promote small and medium-sized businesses.
