After falling in May, prices of goods continued to rise in June, according to figures released by the National Statistics Bureau.
Inflation stood at 0.10 percent in June, according to the Consumer Price Index (CPI) report released by the statistics bureau last week.
A rise in the prices of fish, vegetables, milk, milk products, appliances, air travel, medicine and clothing contributed to inflation in June. Prices decreased for fruits, communication services and furniture.
Top contributors to inflation in June:
- Fish and fish products - 2.48%
- Vegetables - 2.11%
- Electricity and appliances - 1.41%
- Milk and milk products - 0.61%
In annual terms, inflation in June stood at 2.5 percent despite the smaller increase from month to month.
