Addu seeks contractors for yacht marina and cruise terminal project

Addu city council is seeking contractors to build and operate a yacht marina and cruise terminal in the southern city's Feydhoo.

In an announcement on Wednesday, the council opened for Expressions of Interest (EOI) from local and international companies.

Companies interested in the project will be required to submit their financial statements for the past three years and should have at least 10 years of experience.

According to the announcement, a 100-room hotel must also be built on the site of the yacht marina and cruise terminal.

The deadline for submitting EOIs for the project is July 25. Discussions on establishing a yacht marina and cruise terminal in Addu first began in 2007.
