The three-day training program for speedboat captains jointly organized by Alia Investment and the Maldives Institute of Technology (MIT) has concluded.
The program with 50 participants was held annually since 2014. This year's program is the first since an interruption due to covid. The "Boat Operator's Training" is taking place from July 4 to 6.
Yamaha Japan officials also attended the training program this year.
At the closing ceremony, the participants were awarded certificates of completion by MIT.

The program included sessions on speedboat-specific maneuvering techniques, navigation and chart reading and safety protocols and emergency procedures, as well as first aid, fire safety and outboard engine maintenance and troubleshooting.
Alia noted that the program was well received by the participants. The training participants said that the program has added to their confidence and knowledge.
Alia thanked participants and MIT for their contribution to the successful completion of the program.
