Allied Insurance company has opened applications for its Community Fund and Education Fund.

The deadline for applications is 4 pm on August 15. Submissions to the Community Fund can be sent to, communityfund@allied.mv and applications for the Education Fund can be sent to educationfund@allied.mv.

The Allied Community Fund is a funding program targeting six areas that empowers civil groups in the atolls to turn community-friendly ideas into reality. The four best ideas will be awarded MVR 50,000 each.

The six areas:

  1. Health and Wellness
  2. Social Services
  3. Environment Protection
  4. Women's Rights
  5. Children's Rights
  6. Projects that can be implemented to bring about positive changes in the fields of education and history

The Allied Education Fund is a funding program that encourages ideas that benefit students and teachers to strengthen the education system. MVR 25,000 will be provided for selected eight ideas.

An official from Allied Insurance said the funding programs are very promising and that the aim is to remove financial barriers to improve the situation in the community.

“Allied is encouraged to continue this program as we see more people empowered and healthier societies created through this,” the official said.

The latest information on the programs will be available on the company’s website.

Launched in 2018, “Premium for Good” is a framework designed to sustain the company’s community social responsibility initiatives.

Allied Insurance says they are making many successful efforts to bring environmentally friendly changes and build a better education system in line with the UN sustainable development framework.
