The fourth senior officials meeting between the Maldives and the European Union (EU) is scheduled to begin today in Brussels, Belgium.
The annual meeting helps foster transparent and positive interaction between the Maldives and the EU and strengthen the existing bonds of friendship and collaboration, the foreign ministry said in a press release.

The Maldives delegation is led by state minister Ahmed Khaleel. The delegation from the EU is led by the Deputy Managing Director at the European External Action Service, Paola Pampaloni.
