The Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has scheduled its annual general meeting for June 15 in Kurumba Maldives resort.

Public companies are required to hold annual general meetings before May 31 every year, but Maldives Stock Exchange extended the deadline for MTCC till June 20 because several documents needed to complete the company’s audit were delayed.

The notice for the annual general meeting says that shareholders who were registered before April 12 this year can attend the meeting. They have to register to attend the meeting before 08:30 pm on June 13.

MTCC said registration can be done through the Maldives Securities Depository infinity portal and MTCC shareholders’ online portal.

Shareholders have the option to attend the meeting physically or online.

In 2021, MTCC earned MVR 1.97 billion. The amount increased to MVR 2.47 billion in 2022, however, net profit dropped to MVR 195.7 million from MVR 231 million.

MTCC directors’ board decided to distribute MVR 4 per share as dividend. A total of MVR 32 million from the profit will be given out as dividend.
