Bank of Maldives (BML) on Monday night announced that two ATMs will be opened in Hulhumale’ phase two soon.

The national bank’s 40th annual general meeting was held Monday night at the Islamic center in Male’ city.

Responding to a question from a shareholder, CEO Karl Stumke said the space has already been allocated for the ATMs.

There are about six BML ATMs in three areas of the Hulhumale’ phase one.

“Since we have decided to open a branch abroad, the management’s proposal for that will soon be submitted to the board as well,” he announced.

There are over 325,000 BML customers. According to BML, some 25,000 new customers joined the bank last year.

BML has 38 branches, 139 ATMs, 7,900 merchants, 70,061 POS machines and 223 cash agents all across the country.
