Aarah case: Court accepts Yameen’s defence evidence
The Criminal Court has accepted defense evidence from former President Abdulla Yameen in his corruption retrial regarding the lease of Vaavu Aarah. The court rejected prosecution attempts to block witnesses who claim the $1.1 million was a legal currency exchange. The judge ruled that witness credibility will be assessed later in the trial.
