Arrivals decline from major markets except Russia and China
Maldives tourism saw a 5.2% decline by July due to regional conflicts, with arrivals dropping across most major and emerging markets. The Middle East and Americas experienced the sharpest decreases. However, China and Russia bucked the trend, showing significant growth and remaining the top source markets for the islands.
