Bank of Maldives has introduced a daily budget limit and a 30-transaction monthly cap for Rufiyaa cards on e-commerce sites like Temu and Shein. The measures aim to curb excessive dollar outflow caused by commercial use of personal cards. This policy ensures foreign currency remains available for essential needs and more equitable distribution.
