Fayyaz slams Cabinet and Speaker pay hikes as ‘insult’ to public
MDP's Fayyaz Ismail condemned salary hikes for the Speaker and Cabinet as an "insult" to the public amid economic hardship and low government productivity. He criticized the timing of the raises while citizens face a high cost of living. The approved adjustments will increase the Speaker’s total monthly remuneration to MVR 95,000.
