Floods affect 85 percent homes, 25 families displaced
Torrential rain in Gaafu Alif Kolamaafushi flooded 85% of homes and displaced 25 families. The MNDF and local council used pumps and drainage channels to restore normalcy after water reached levels of two feet. While streets are now clear, many residents face property damage, power outages, and sewage issues.
