Bill introduced to seize assets acquired through serious crimes
MP Ali Fazad introduced a bill to the People’s Majlis allowing the state to seize assets from 15 categories of serious crimes. The law enables confiscation before or after conviction and applies to assets acquired prior to its enactment. It also sets protocols for international cooperation and the management of frozen illicit property.
