Elections Commission dissolves The Democrats
The Elections Commission has dissolved The Democrats, a party founded by former President Mohamed Nasheed, for failing to maintain the legal minimum of 3,000 members. The party was officially removed from the registry alongside the Maldives Labour and Social Democratic Party for similar membership shortages.
